We strive to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment that upholds the rights and well-being of all individuals involved in our club, regardless of their background, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or ability. We celebrate the richness of diversity and believe that everyone should have equal opportunities to participate, excel, and contribute to our volleyball community. Our policies and procedures reflect our firm stance against any form of harassment, abuse, discrimination, or misconduct. By prioritizing member protection and diversity, we aim to create an environment where every participant feels valued, respected, and empowered to embrace their unique identity and thrive both on and off the volleyball court.

Easts Volleyball is a community based sporting club that delivers volleyball training and
competition programs, and other events to players of all ages. Easts have created a Member Protection Strategy Framework and have committed to ensuring that every individual feels safe, respected, and valued throughout their involvement with our club.
Easts Volleyball has an overarching Code of Conduct that outlines expectations of committee members, players, coaches, officials and supporters.
Our commitment to Member Protection is embedded into our club’s culture, how we work and the
environments that we provide. The Member Protection Practices: Behaviour outline specific behaviours that Easts views as integral to member protection.
Specific detail of these behaviours is provided in this practice document. However, the high level behaviours are:

Respectful and Inclusive Conduct: We will treat all individuals with respect, fairness, and inclusivity, regardless of their background, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or ability. Discrimination, harassment, or bullying in any form will not be tolerated.

The Member Protection Practices: Incidents and Breaches has been developed to ensure that
when a member protection incident occurs, there are clear and well-defined process in place for
reporting and managing the issue including clearly stated roles and responsibilities.
