There are many opportunities to be part of Easts as an Easts Team Member. These opportunities including coaching, refereeing, being part of our management committee, and being a team manager. Below are the list of positions that we are actively looking for people to take on. Management Committee Positions
These positions relate to opportunities to be part of our management committee. These are volunteer positions and are all subject to compliance with the Qld Working with Children requirements (e.g. holding a Bluecard etc).
Junior & Senior Player Reps
Easts have created positions for Player Representatives to be part of our Management Committee. The role of a Player Representative is to be a 'voice' for players in the decisions that the Management Committee make. Player reps attend all Management Committee meetings and there are 11 of these across the year. Occasionally the Management Committee need to make decisions outside of Committee meetings and this is often done via email or through conversations on Microsoft Teams. You will also be asked to participate in these 'flying' decisions.
Currently we have vacancies for Junior (Under 18) and Senior Player Representatives for both men and women - so 4 positions are vacant.

Program Coordinator Positions
Program co-ordinators are responsible for high-level co-ordination of programs such as JPVL Men, PVL Women, and Junior Development. Responsibilities include developing a program budget, promoting the program, ensuring coaching staff are available, general communication such as communicating with parents, and reporting to the Management Committee on program operations.

As Young People participate across almost all of our programs, these positions are subject to the Qld Working with Children requirements.
PVL Team Managers 2024
We currently have positions available for our 2024 PVL managers. These positions are for each Senior PVL and Youth PVL team. ​For a Senior team this position could be held by a player and for Youth teams it is expected that this position would be held by a parent of a player in the team.

Responsibilities start after Trials (February 2024) and extend through to the end of the PVL seasons.

Junior Development Program Coordinator 2024
We currently have positions available for our 2024 Junior Development Program Coordinator.
​
Our Junior Training Program (JDP) is focused on athletes who are in the early stages of their involvement in Volleyball. The program is aimed at Young People aged between 6 and 19 years of age. JDP operates in line with Qld School Terms with activities starting the first week and finishing in the second last week of each School Term.
​
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) establishing a budget for the program in collaboration with the Easts Management Committee, managing the program in line with that budget, promotion of the program, addressing all questions from players, parents and others, co-ordinating coaches for each session (working with the JDP Head Coach), and reporting to the Easts Management Committee on program operations.

Coaching Positions
Easts runs both competition programs as well as training programs for a range of people. Easts is committed to providing high quality coaching across all of these activities.
​
Easts provides mentoring for our coaches and regularly holds coaching meetings that focus on supporting and developing our coaches.
JPVL and PVL Coaches 2024
We currently have coaching positions available for our 2024 PVL Program - both Senior and Youth tiers. These coaching positions are at different levels of the JPVL and PVL programs. We are also keen to support new coaches in their development.
